Conclusion:

Who doesn’t like a trip to the carnival?  This is a pretty fun game that was put out by 2K Play.  This allows you to participate in the fun little carnival games over and over again without having to pay five bucks a pop.  Granted you won’t come home with a life-sized stuffed animal but it is still a pretty fun game to play.  This app has over ten different carnival games that you would find down at the county fair and you will see how addicting it can be to prove that you are better than the average gamer walking down the street.

Rednecks Vs Aliens iPhone app Review

Description:

Those rednecks may get a hard time out in the real world but when aliens come to invade, it’s a whole other story.  They can defend the farmhouse like it’s nobody’s business.  In the Rednecks Vs Aliens iPhone app you will have to stop all of the aliens from coming and ruining your livelihood.  You will have to kill your enemies, get some cash, and upgrade your defenses so you can take on the next wave that is sure to be coming in.  You will be able to use some pretty cool weapons such as the potato gun, the mayonaisse that never gets eaten, the lawnmower blade launcher, and much more.  You really will have to use all of the tricks in your arsenal to preserve Earth from these space invaders!

Features:

• This game has a variety of different weapons and guns that you will be able to use to fend off the green visitors.  This includes over 10 different gun types at your disposal
• Your house is your best defense so you want to make sure that it stays safe.  Be sure to use the 7 house upgrades to help you kill the green men
• As the waves of aliens continue to come in you will have to endure 8 different kinds of them in order to preserve peace and world order
• There are also three different power ups that are of the special variety
• When it comes to the guns of the game there are potato guns, lawnmower blade launchers, and even flaming tennis racquets
• As for normal types of guns you will be able to use the AK-47, the 12 – Gauge Shotgun, and also the .357 Magnum
• Then there are the crazier weapons that include the likes of the toilet seat, the banjo boomerang, and even some old leftover mayonnaise bombs

Conclusion:

This is the perfect storm of red neck goodness along with out of this world alien invasions.  We all know red necks have no shame in real life so what wouldn’t they use to try and stave off alien invaders?  This is a creative game with decent graphics and pretty fun gameplay.  You will have to be smart about your weapon choices and quick with the finger in order to kill them all.

This app has been given some pretty good ratings and is currently sitting at a 3 out of 4 star rating as decided by hundreds of different iPhone app users.  The game is also pretty inexpensive to purchase and will only cost about $0.99.

Bloons Super Monkey iPhone app Review

Description:

What do you get when you mix one superhero suit, one curious monkey, and about a million bloons?  Why the Bloons Super Monkey iPhone app of course!  This is an exciting game where you will be able to fly through over 5 huge worlds in order to pop bloons by the thousands.  You will have to earn your way up the power up board in order to get a total of 20 different upgrades.  The controls in this game are super easy to pick up but as you continue to move through the game you will see that it can get quite difficult.  This is one of those games that will keep you busy for hours on end and is the perfect pickup before a long road trip with the family.

Features:

• One of the most redeeming parts of this little app is that you will have all kinds of upgrades that you can use as you move throughout the game.  There are a total of 24 different upgrades and they include the likes of double boomerangs, seeking missiles, super plasma, and even the quad darts.  All of these can help your Super Monkey dominate as he flies around the different worlds
• While there are a lot of upgrades that you can get while shopping,  there are also a lot of in-game power upgrades that you can get including the bloon freezer as well as the smart bombs to help you complete the levels
• The high scores in the game are completely built in so you will have to try to beat them
• The music in the game is also a lot of fun to listen to and you will notice that there are five different music tracks and they are all groovy
• This game does not include any violence so it really is a great family game.  There are no health bars and no one is going to die in this game.  You just need to pop the bloons!
• The last thing about this game, and probably the most important, is that the game is super simple to just pick up and start playing without having any prior experience or instructions.

DinoSmash Online iPhone app Review

Description:

The DinoSmash Online iPhone app is one of the best three dimensional shooters out there for the mobile market.  Your main goal in the game is to kill other dinosaurs in order to boost your points.  You will have to use the big guns to kill the other internet players. Up to 16 players at a time can be playing against each other to see who is the best dino shooter in the world.

Features:

• The world that you will be able to play in is absolutely huge and it is very detailed.  One other thing that you will notice is that it is rendered entirely in 3D and it has a variety of different dinosaur characters
• The game has servers in both America as well as Europe so it can be played all over the world
• There is also a lot of character customization that you will be able to take part in, including the ability to change the heads of your dinosaurs, change the race, and also pick different clothes for the body
• The graphics engine for the game is also pretty impressive, it has been completely optimized and is currently putting out 30-40 frames per second
• The weapons in the game are very balanced and you will see that there are 5 different weapons that you can use aside from the hook
• The music in the game is also pretty neat because there is a stereo 3D sound system that you can enjoy while you are playing it
• You can also see the scores of other players on the internet by checking out the score board
• Last but not least there is a pretty cool multiplayer mode where you can actually get put in an automatic matchmaking system to play players that are your same caliber

Conclusion:

This is a great idea for a third person shooter, and has a fully rendered 3D world that you can enjoy with all kinds of different dinosaur creatures.  The multiplayer mode is sound and there is lots of customization to be had.  This game comes with all kinds of features that will keep you busy for hours on end.

Swords and Sandals iPhone app Review

Description:

Have you ever wished that you were a gladiator and could prove your stuff to the entire world?  Well in the Swords and Sandals iPhone app you will be able to do just that.  You will get some help from a variety of different weapons and armor, but the rest is up to you.

Features:

• One of the first things that you will notice in this game is that there are literally hundreds of different weapons that are going to be available to you as well as pieces of armor
• On top of all of the weapons and armor you will find that you can learn magical spells to help you utilize the potions and other things that you will find in the game
• Use the weapons with your weapons to enchant them or use them with your armor pieces in order to upgrade them and make them more powerful
• As you travel through the game you will find that there are 4 main shops where you can buy different items and equipment that will help to power up your little gladiator
• Inside of the game you will have to go through 18 different tournaments and they will include a variety of challenges including the Arena Champions
• You will be able to learn a lot about the back story of the game and even go to the Village Hall to be able to see the other victors who have made it through
• The game also allows you to save it whenever you want and then to customize your warrior so that he is effective at a variety of different skills
• Ther are some pretty powerful moves that you can learn including the “psyche up” and battle rage moves
• The total number of different arenas is six, and you will be able to fight inside of all of them

Conclusion:

If you love little RPG games then Swords and Sandals may be the perfect iPhone app for you.  There is a ton to do in this app and you can play for hours on end.  The whole point of the game is to take your gladiator to the final arena and try and win it all.  There are a lot of items, equipment, battles and more that are in store for you when you download this game onto your mobile phone.

Worldy Wings iPhone app Review

Description:

In the Worldy Wings iPhone app you will be able to start an incredible flying adventure where you travel through five different worlds and fight all kinds of enemies.  You can choose between three planes and will love all the bonus r0unds that are available.

Features:

• This game offers a lot of different options including the amount of airplanes that you can choose  from.  There are 3 main planes that you can pick from
• The game also has a lot of different environments to try your hand at.  You will be able to pick from 5 different worlds and each of them come with their own amount of action
• On top of the 5 worlds that are available there are also a number of bonus rounds.  The game has a total of 4 bonus rounds and in each of these you will be able to get things that will upgrade your plane
• One of the other fun things that you will like about this game is that there are a variety of different enemies that you will have to fight as well as lots of power ups that you can get for your plane
• Saving in this game is a cinch.  You will notice that there are auto save points on every level so that you don’t have to worry about doing it manually (or forgetting to do it for that matter)
• Another fun thing about this game is that there are a few different leader boards so you can see who is the best at the game on a local level as well as on a world level
• The game is definitely a bit old-school in how the gameplay is set up but you will love the 3D graphics and how challenging it can be as you get farther along!

Conclusion:

Everyone likes a good airplane game and this one seems to deliver fairly well. The graphics are made to be a bit cartoonish and fit the overall theme of the game.  There are quite a few features to enjoy and also a variety of difficulty levels that you can try your hand at.  Overall, not a bad game for under a buck.

RC Plane iPhone app Review

Description:

The RC Plane iPhone app is a super cool little aerial game where you will be able to fly your very own RC Plane around a peaceful and  beautiful country side and all the scenarios involved with that.  You will be able to experience some pretty realistic flight and controls and not only that, you will also be able to be visually pleased by all of the cool 3D graphics that are included in the game. These high quality images and animations will be able to amuse almost any kind of gamer.  Some of the fun things that you will get to do include flying through a windmill and also a huge barn.  There are also some mysterious parts that you will have to fly through as well.  You can perform all kinds of stunts in you plane to add to the excitement and fun level of this little rc plane game.

Features:

• The game starts out with the ability to use 2 different RC planes that are all very realistic but then you will be able to purchase up to five more of them within the app.
• The configurations of the game go between three and four channel configurations to help mix things up a bit
• You will be able to fly the trainer plane as well as the acrobatic plane without buying anything but there are fighter planes, WWII bombers, and also jest in the in-app store
• There are also three different camera angles that you will be able to choose from.  This includes the follow camera mode where it is behind your plane and gives you the best view angle and control, there is also the fixed mode where you are in the pilot seat and you get the real experience of flying an airplane, and then there is the inside camera where you get to fly it from a camera inside the plane
• There are two different control schemes including the accelerometer and also the touch controls to use
• there is a compass and also a mini map of the entire environment so that you can make sure that you know where you are going

Description:

In the 1942: First Strike iPhone app you will be able to take to the skies in over three different planes in this arcade classic.  The game is fast paced and you will have to be quick on your wings in order to defeat the battleships, bombers and other dog fighters as you try to protect and conquer.  This new version has a variety of things including a new plane, a couple new environments for you to be able to play on, and also a new tank boss to defeat in the game.

Features:

• This game is actually loaded with a variety of different features.  The first thing that you will notice with the game is the number of aircraft that you can control.  There are three main types that you can control and they are the Lightning which is really well rounded, the Mosquito which is a bit more rugged, and also the Shinden which is the most nimble and quick of the three.
• As you play you will be able to upgrade all of your aircraft and even unlock more weapons that are going to be a lot more powerful than the weapons you had on your planes before
• You will love the gameplay as you fly through the sky trying to take other planes down. The dogfights are truly epic and the boss fights are even more exciting.  There are six boss fights total
• You will be able to take your combat skills across five different kinds of environments so you’ll never get bored of the game and the things you will get to do
• There are two main control systems that you will be able to do.  The first is the tilt control system and the second is the touch control system
• There are a lot of different gameplay and art elements that have been completely inspired by the other 1942 game that was a hit on the iPhone: Joint Strike
• There is also support for the Game Center Leaderboard so you can see who the best players are in the game.

Talking Harry the Hedgehog iPhone app Review

Description:

In the Talking Harry the Hedgehog iPhone app you will be able to interact with a very bored and tired little hedgehog that doesn’t have much interest in what you are saying.  If you decide to give him an energy drink though you will see him spruce right up and either become a trained karate master or a sci-fi dodger of bullets.  Harry will actually say back everything that you say to him.  He will do it in a bored voice unless he has had an energy drink first and then he becomes very talkative.

Features:

• This game is all about getting a reaction out of your little groundhog friend.  You will be able to talk to Harry the Hedgehog and then have him repeat everything back to you in the most bored voice you can think of
• If you want to really get Harry going then all you need to do is just give him one of the energy drinks that is on the screen.  If you give him the blue energy drink then you will be able to see him turn into a karate master who can’t be touched!
• If you decide to opt for the other energy drink and you end up giving him the red one then you will see that he will get a little edgy and go into the bullet dodge mode
• Once he turns into either one of these characters from drinking the red and blue energy drinks then you should see what happens when you try to talk to him or when you try to touch him on the screen
• One of the cool things that you can do with this app is that if you have  a really funny session with Harry then you can take a video of it and record it to watch it later.  You can save these videos in your library and then send them to friends as an MMS or you can even upload them to Facebook or onto Youtube.  If nothing else you can at least email them to the people you know

Conclusion:

Who doesn’t like a talking Hedgehog?  This is a pretty fun app because you will be able to manipulate the hedgehog depending on what you give to him.  He’s naturally pretty bored and uninviting until you give him an energy drink and then he transforms into something completely different!  You can record the funny videos once you capture them and then share them with friends and family.

Archetype iPhone app Review

Description:

The Archetype iPhone app is one of the best first person shooters out on the iPhone.  Go ahead and download it and give it a try.

Features:

• This game has been completely optimized so that it works on the iPhone 4.  You can maximize your experience by using the retina display to view better textures, high resolution images, and crisp on-screen HUD.  Every time that you get a head shot you will be amazed by how good the game looks
• One of the funnest parts of this game is the ability you have to play in multi-player death matches.  These little games can support up to 5 on 5 in two different teams
• You can also play some pretty intense team battles that will take place across over six different maps.  You also will be able to utilize six different weapons that include the likes of the missile launcher, melee axe, shotgun, precision and battle rifles, and the auto mag.  There are also a couple different grenade types
• One of the new things int he game is the support center for the entire game.  You will be able to also take part in the multiplayer matching process.  You will be able to access leaderboards as well as the achievements
• There is also a brand new arena that you can take advantage of that has everything to do with shotguns.  This is a fun single-weapon mode where you can go crazy
• There is another new story mode which can be unlocked by beating the online campaign mode.  You will be able to see the story behind Archetype through the messages and logs
• Another new part of the game is the chapter two frontier.  You will be able to do some in-app purchases to double the levels, add new gameplay modes, and also get another story mode
• The controls in the game are very precise and you will be able to enjoy the joystick feel of them.  You can get the hang of these controls in no time
• You also will be able to earn experience for winning your games and then you can start to rank up and even win some pretty cool medals
• You can use the radar that is on the screen to be able to track your enemies and see where they are going.
